Facebook in the workplace, not a good idea..

Should you allow employees, or even yourself, to use Facebook at work... ?

Maybe not after reading this:

1.   Facebook is a prime target for creators of Malware, Crimeware and other threats. They target users of social network sites to steal confidential information, turn PCs into spamming machines, and simply disrupt your network/PC.

2.   Many of your employees are addicted to Facebook and will waste a ton of YOUR time and money.  Cyber criminals know this and take advantage of your addicts to hit you with malicious code and possibly steal information.

3.   You have a compliance issue if you have health records, credit card info, or other personal information that could the target of criminals. If confidential customer or employee information is stolen due to an employee accidentally downloading some malicious threat from their personal internet activity the company can be held liable for the loss of that data and suffer fines as well.

Use Facebook at home on personal computers that do not connect to the business network. Even with the best Antivirus Software, threats can still get through. You just cannot keep your software updated as often as the criminals write the code!
