If I had not seen the ad on TV, a brief quick hitter, I would not have known Verizon is offering a free gift to it's wireless, make that cell phone users.


Bringing back the old MCI Friends and Family type plan, Verizon cell phone users can have unlimited calling to 5 (individual) or 10 (family plans) out of network (non Verizon) phone numbers! For anyone that has transitioned to a cell phone only environment and forsaken the landline, this is very good news.


Having a family/business plan for my wife (company CEO) and I, loading up 5 of our top business contacts and 5 family contacts that are not Verizon is saving hundreds of our minutes per month.
